  1. I There is one little harbour, where kind nature smiles
Washed around by "Carbery's Hundred green Isles".
To all our four-fathers, sweet peace be with them.
Their holdings lie close by the cove of Rossbrin.
II It breathes every scene most enchanting and dear.
Its school, and its copper-mines, castle, and pier.
John Collins's farm where the castle stands in.
Washed round by the waters of the Cove of Rossbrin.
III It was in 1904 I travelled by rail.
To the city of Cork, to a court of Appeal.
I saw the Lee's sparkling waters with its barques floating in.
Yet not half so charming as the Cove of Rossbrin.
IV It was in Autumn the fleet has repaired to our shore.
To beach in the strand until winter is o'er.
The crews have prepared as the spring-time comes in.
To take their departure from the Cove of Rossbrin,
V There were many dear ones who lived here as slaves.
Some have emigrated, more have filled the graves.
With rack-rented holdings, their prospects were thin.
Which forced them to rove from the Cove of Rossbrin.
This was written by John Collins's Ballycumisk in the year 1904.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
