Story
“In the house of James Tighe, Garrow, Boyle, there was a Station.”
In the house of James Tighe, Garrow, Boyle, there was a station. After the Mass the priest was speaking. The woman of the house asked was he saying anything. After the priest's breakfast, the woman began talking again to the priest and annoying him. Father O'Malley, for that was the priest's name, brought the woman outside. The woman fell outside. The other priest ran out and interceded with Father O'Malley for her, begging him not to harm her. Father O'Malley said he would have turned her into a pillar of salt. He then went back and kicked a tree that grew near the house. The tree turned black, and never has a green leaf been seen on it since. The tree is to be seen still, standing blighted beside Tighe's house.- Faisnéiseoir
