It is of a fearless highwayman, a story I must tell,
His is Willy Brennan, in Ireland he did dwell.
It was on the Liffey Mountains, he commenced his wild career.
Where many a wealthy gentleman, before him shook with fear,

Bold, brave and undaunted, stood
Brennan on the Moor
A brace of loaded pistols, he carried night and day,
He never robbed the poor man upon the king's highway
What he had taken from the rich
like Turban and Blackbess,
He e'er divided with, the widows
and the orphans in distress
One night he robbed a packman,
His name was Piddler Ban.
They travelled on together till the day began to dawn.
