- The most harmful weeds on the farm are docks and chicken - weed. The docks are long green leaves with a shank going through the middle. These weeds are harmful because they spread quickly among the plants or seeds that have been set. On wet land flaggers and rushes grow. The flaggers grow very high and a flower shoots out on them. There is a weed used still for burns or cuts. Dead nettle is the name of it. Soap and the weed are boiled together to make up the cure. Furze and rushes grow on bad land.
Scutch - grass
