One night while the Saint was visiting his Monks in Emlaghfad a great storm arose and the tower was in danger of falling. The Monks were very upset but St. Colmcille told them not to fear. He went out and went three times round the Monastery saying, the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary and the Creed each time. he then put his back against the lower repeating the prayers once more and asking God to save them. His prayers were granted, for the storm abated and to this day you can see the bend in the wall where the Saint stood, and it is said that if you have a pain in your back and go to Emlaghfad and stand with your back to where the Saint stood and repeat the prayers, you will be cured.
