- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)made in my district. Flannelette and cotton are the types of cloth that are used. There is no account of shirts made from flax which was grown locally. Socks and stockings are continually being knit by the women of my district and scarves, berets and jumpers are also knit.Special types of clothes are worn on certain occasions. At a wedding the bride generally wears a white dress, while the brides maid or bridesmaids as the case might be, are dressed in clothes of one pattern and material. On the occasion of a funeral black clothes are generally worn and when a person is in mourning black clothes are also worn. White is also a mourning colour but it is seldom worn by mourners.
