When the Holy Family were going along the road to Egypt, Herod's soldiers were after them seeking to kill the Infant Jesus.
There was a big thick trunk of a tree by the way and a hole at the foot of it. They went in.
Then a spider came and wove his web over the hole.
When the soldiers came along one of them said "They may have gone in here. Another said "if they went in here they would have broken the spiders web. So they passed on and the Holy Family was saved. It is said that nobody should touch a spider's web.
