    Sheriff
Long ago people around Gortaveha and Renahomana used hear the Sheriff coming a week before he came. They had walls built around Mat Kennedys an Paddy Kennedys ,the way he would not be able to pass down. Then every man even from Curlea and every place around was armed with rifles above on Gortaveha mountain.
They were to kill the Sheriff if he came but he did not come. There were boys down to sixteen years in the army .Thomas Hannon of Ranahomana that was the planning of this and leader of it.
