- About 50 years ago the people used to sow alot of flax. When grown they used to pull it, bog it, bleach it, take it home, pound it , dry it, clove it, hackle it, spin it, and weave it. When they would be ready to clove it the women of the house would get alot of women that would be able to clove to help to clove the flax.
