  1. St Bridgets day
    The custom for St bridget's day is to make a wooden cross and nail it to the rafter.
    On St Patrick's day the people wear a shamrock on their coats as a reminder that there are three persons in God.
    Shrove Tuesday
    The people make a pan cake on Shrove Tuesday with a ring concealed in it. The cake is cut into pieces and distributed among the people and who-ever gets the piece with the ring it is an omen that, that person will be first to marry.
    Lent
    The people fast or obtain from something during Lent to do penance for their sins.
    Ash Wednesday
    The ashes of palm is blessed by the Priest and given to the people to denote that. Dust thou art and into dust thou shalt return
