  1. (a) Many "fairy" forts or "Lisses" the chief being
    (i) A large "fort" about two miles from the school, The fort has an underground passage and a "cave".
    (ii) Other "forts" occur in Tievenaman (1 1/2m. from school), Drumderryglass, Lissacapple, and Lisanymore. The remains of passages are to be seen in the Tievenaman "fort"
    A "Fort" or "Liss", larger than any of the above is situated at Lavey about six miles from the school (north) on the lands of one Tierney. This I
