  1. Warts (i) If a person wants to get rid of warts and happens to be out walking and sees a snail by haphazard, lift the snail and rub it on their hand three times in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Put the snail on a thorn, and when the snail is withered the warts will be gone.
    (ii) Run boiled potatoes on warts. Then bury the potatoes in the ground and when the potatoes will be rotten the warts will be vanished.
    Sore eyes Draw tea, and let it cool. Then pour it into your eyes.
    Blisters. To prevent blisters from rising on one's hand rub soap on them.
    Stomach To get wind off your stomach drink soda water
    Measles Drink a cup full of water mixed with whiskey.
    Sore Throat Rub a small bit of capsoline on the throat.
    Rheumatism Rub the legs downwards
    Pains Rub a drop of Sloan's Linimant
