  2. People sought remedies for their ailments in the following ways.
    'Warts'. 'Warts' were cured by cutting a slice of a potato every day for nine days and rubbing the wart with it.
    'Shin cough'. People cured the 'Shin cough' by getting a five-naggin bottle of holy water from a holy well, and drinking it.
    'measles'. 'The measles' were cured by drinking boiled nettle-juice.
    'Sores on horses breasts'. Sores on horses breasts were cure by rubbing the skin of an oak tree to the 'sore'.
    'Coughs in horses'. Coughs in horses were cured by burying garlic and whiskey for nine days, and giving it to affected
