    The birds that do not migrate are, 'the pigeon', 'the crow', 'the starling', the thrush', 'the blackbird', the sparrow', 'the wren', 'the yellow-yorling', 'the gold-finch', 'the stone-chaffer', 'the robin', 'the mag-pie', 'the jack-daw', 'the snipe', 'the willy-wag-tail', 'the lark', 'the partidge', 'the hawk'.
    'The cuckoo', does not build any nest, but lays in the 'lark's' nest. 'The cuckoo' lays a speckled egg. 'The lark' lays her egg in a lump of grass in the field. She lays a bright speckled egg.
