  1. There was a man and he was working not far from Hacketstown. A cow strayed into a field of their neighbours and at about ten o'clock the workman went to look for the cow. He went into a field of Darcy's who live at the back of Eagle Hill. He did not find the cow and he came up to Darcy's house to ask about the cow. When he was at the door he saw a big white dog. He did not bring home the cow and when he was going up the lane he saw a white man and a gun in his hand and that man was often seen there.
