  1. In olden times there was a chapel and graveyard in the corner of a field in the Brownbog. The field belonged to Mr Gillespie. When the chapel fell he wouldn't allow anyone to plough the field, but when he died someone else got the field and started to plough it. When he was ploughing it he turned up a stone head belonging to a monument. He cut off an ear with the plough and fell dead.
