  1. There is one Holy Well in the parish of Shinrone.
    It is situated in the townland of Kilcommon. The well is in a hollow of a rock.
    It is called Saint Cummians well after Cummian Fada, who wrote letters about the Easter controversy.
    It was never known for people to visit it or pray at it.
    People who have warts visit it because it is said if you bath the place you have the wares three times in the well and leave a button or a pin there it will cure them.
