  1. I live in the parish of Shinrone and the barony of Clonlisk.
There are three hundred and eight people in the townland of Shinrone and eighty one houses.
The most common names in Shinrone are - Quirkes, Ryans, Tierneys, Whelans. There are fifteen one storeys houses and three three storeys, and all the rest are two storeys. The most of the houses are slated but fourteen are tiled and two are thatched. There are more houses in Shinrone than there were years ago.
Shinrone is built on a ridge and that is how it got its name, Shinrone, the seat of Roin.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
