    There is an ould ruined castle situated in Knockreigh, Adamstown.

    This castle was built by the Danes about a century ago, an' there are many stories tould about it. i'm going to tell you a quare story about it now.
    There is a stone stairs inside o' this castle an' gold is said to be buried under it
    Be gob o'man anyhow a few men from the locality of Adamstown said they would go an' dig for it; wan night they brought a lantern, holywater, an' a couple of shovels with 'em, an' they began to dig.
    They were police men in Adamstown at the time, an they saw the light in the castle.
    Begob they said they would go to the castle an' see what was up
    When they were pass' the castle the men inside saw the policemen's shiny helmets through the splits in the wall.
    The men became frightened cause they thought of it was the devil an' you
