Long ago in my district the people used different food from what they use at present.

They made many different kinds of cakes, and they ate other different kinds of food. They used to peel potatoes and mix flour with them
A little water was then added and the cake was then baked. This cake was called "Potatoe bake"
Another cake which they used to was called "Yellowmeal bake"
Yellowmeal and flour were mixed and then water was added and all were kneaded together. They used to make another cake called "Barley bake"
Ground Barley and water were mixed and then the cake was baked.
