There was a wake held in an old house one time.

The wake was held on an old loft, under which was a barn.
At mid-night, when all the people were on the loft, it began to crack.
Before the people had time to get down the loft fell, and the candles went out.
They were all in the barn below.
The women were in a n awful way and one of them call out to a man, "Scratch a match, Mike, quick for God's sake."
When the match was lit the people saw the corpse hanging out of pilck of wood over their heads/
It took along time to get out, and when the door was opened they were all greatly relieved.
