- The Co-operative stores are to be found in the south of Wexford town. Long ago this place was a castle. It was built in the eighteenth century by a man named Hal Tray White. It was then called the White property. Hal Tray White was a bad landlord and was very much disliked by his people. Where the stables stand now was at that time a beautiful lawn crystalled with flowers. The last to live in that castle was Turney(continues on next page)
