  1. John Murphy lived with his widow-mother near Bridgetown.
    One evening about six o'clock, his mother sent him down to the village for bread. When he was returning he saw the Yoes coming up the road to meet him. In his fright, he jumped over the ditch and ran across the fields to his own house.
