    quarter are the most harmful weeds on the farm. Práiseac usually grows in corn. Lamb's quarter usually grows in drills where potatoes or turnips are growing. Nettles and thistles grow in bad land. Donkeys like thistles.
    A weed called "mouse's ear" when boiled in milk and three spoonfuls taken every morning for three mornings can prevent whooping cough.
    A weed called the "Seven Sisters" can cure warts. It grows in any kind of land.
    Long ago people used to boil and eat nettles. They are still given to turkeys for green food.
    "Dandelion Wine" is made from dandelions. When dandelions are going to wither the petals change into objects like feathers. Some people can tell the time by blowing these off and counting the remainder.
    A weed called the "dock leaf" can cure the scorch of a nettle.
