  1. Ned Mulvihill Cullentra, is noted for making baskets and cleeves from sally rods.
    Patrick Tiernan Newtown-Cashel is noted for being the best thatcher in the disitrict.
    There is an old lime kiln in our "Well field" in Carrick, where there was lime burned by my Grandfather, the late Patrick Nolan, Carrick.
    The late James Hopkins, Carrabeg, Newtown-Cashel, used to make barrells from the timber of oak trees and then he put iron hoops on them to keep them firm.
    The late John Connigham, Caltra, Newtown-Cashel was the oldest blacksmith in the district. He used to make ploughs, spades and iron gates. The tools he used were a hammer, a sledge, a bellows, a pincers and the anvil.
