    round the fort. People say it is unlucky to interfere with a fort. It is never ploughed but cattle are allowed to graze on it. There is a small gap for an entrance. No one would build a house in a fort, because it is thought to be unlucky to disturb fairies' property.
    In a fort on Mrs. Connaughton's land in Cullentra there is supposed to be gold hidden. The treasure is guarded by a black cat which will kill the first person who tries to get the treasure. The second person will get the treasure.
