Count the warts. Put that number of stones in a paper bag. Drop it going down a road and dont come back that way. You should not look behind. Who ever lifts the bag will take the warts and you will lose them.- Collector

- We went to see the wart well today. It is about a furlong from the school, in Gaynor's field on the side of Frewin Hill. The water is about a foot deep in a small hole on a fairly high ditch. The tree seems very old as it is crumbling and was cut down at some time as only the stump remains.(continues on next page)
