    Long ago a man in Rathconnell lent a pair of horses to a man to take away a fort.

    horse dead in the stable and sometime after the mare died foaling. In that fort there was a band of cats belong to the fairies. The used to go along a ditch that divided Rathconnell from Pass. One night a man wanted to see the cats. He met them on their path. They attacked the man and he shouted for his two dogs and the cats killed one of the dog and scraped the other dog.
