    answer that he had a very bad tooth ache. Cook brought him home and sent for the doctor and had three teeth pulled out. Cook sent the man home and told him to stay at home for a week and gave him a week's pay.

  2. One day one of Cooks men came late to work. Cook seeing him asked him why he was late.
    The man answered that Cook's crows and the Clunlost crows had a great battle and he waited for it.
    Cook asked which crows won. The man said, "Cook's crows won". Cook then sent the man with almost six stones of corn to leave for his crow.
