This is a true story. It happened at Coney Hall on the banks of the River Boyne.

    (continued from previous page)
the Police. They came and after a while they found the body in the Well. Margaret Skain was arrested and brought to Trim.
She appeared before three or four Courts. A Priest pleaded for her and only for the Priest she would be executed, but she was sentenced to life Penal Servitude. She got out at one of the Kings Jubilees. She lived in James Street and when I would be coming from work I would see her every night.
After the murder was committed every night when the Master would be in the kitchen late, he would see the girl cooking at the Range and walking from the kitchen to the Well.
That Crime was committed about sixty years ago.
