  1. Toberdoney well is situated about one mile from Shanlis cross. The old people around Shanlis call it Saint Flannel's well. A number of people were cured at it long ago. Many people visit the well on the feast of The Assumption (15th Aug). It is a beautiful spring well and the water gushes in white bubbles. The owner of the field (Mr Mc Keever) tried to open the well to make a drinking place for cattle. Strange to say the cattle never went near the well or never drank the water.
