Then he said to the man "Turn yourself into a lump of gold and I will put you in my purse and I will go in and have a good drink" So he turned himself into a lump of gold and the smith put him in his purse and he went in to the public house and drank his fill. And then when he came out he turned for home. Then when he went to bed that night he put his purse under his head. Then his wife said in the middle of the night that there was some thing jumping under their heads and the (sin) smith said not to mind that he knew what it was and she said it should be the devil that was there and with that the devil spoke and said to let him out and "I will have no more to do with you".
