   One time a number of men set to work to dig for gold in the moat at Donohill in the parish of Donohill and Anacarty. They came to a flag stone and at thaat moment one of them looked up and he saw a farmers house nearby on fire. They went to save the house to save the people and when they got there there was nothing wrong. They came back to their work they could find no trace of the digging.

   A farmer one time was sick in bed expecting to die. He called his two sons to his bedside and told them there was a treasure in a certain field on his farm. He told them to go and dig for it. The two boys set out and they dug away until they had the field made into a garden. They were deeply disappointed when they found no treasure. They
