    Michael Glasheen Garrynoe: Thomas Doheny Glengall, and John Broderick Ballaghboy. We have a quern but it is broken. The corn had to be dried thoroughly in an oven-pot over the fire, but it had to be dried and stirred because it would burn. The meal that is ground in a quern is called "práipín". The people who had no querns used to get their corn ground in their neighbour's querns, especially during the Famine years.
