  1. Here I am laid down to sleep.
To God I give my sould to keep.
And If I die before I wake.
I beg of God my soul to take
O', Mother of God remember me.
There are four corners on my bed
    Four angels on them spread.
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John
God bless this bed I do lay on
And if any evil come to me
    May Jesus defend me
That I may have my right hand to bless me
    And my eyes to see
    Amen, sweet Jesus Amen
The above prayer to be said before going to sleep.
As I lay down to sleep
The cross of Jesus at my head.
The cross of Jesus at my feet
    Jesus is a branch
    Mary is a flower.
Jesus and Mary may be with me at all hours.
Heart of Jesus I adore thee
Heart of Mary I implore thee
Heart of Joseph pure and just
In these three hearts I place my trust.
