    Bright memories cluster round ancient Killaghy
    That enrich and enliven the Senachaide's tale
    The success of battle and raid on the border
    The march of St. Auburn 'gainst the lords of the pale
    Gone are those Normans whose love of old Erin
    And struggle for freedom 'tis sweet to recall
    Their villas were crowded and manor
