  1. Long years ago, there was a (certain) man caught out late at night. The shortest way to his home was through the fields.
    When he was half-way across, "Jackey the Lantern" came on the scene & waved his lantern all around him. The man was kept going around all night. He could not find his way until clear day-light (in the morning).
