In Graigue Moycarkey, there was a school at the side of the road...

In Graigue Moycarkey, there was a school at the side of the road about 70 years ago. A man named Mike Nolan was teaching and he lived in Grange Holycross and used to walk to school every day. Those going to school would have to bring sods of turf for the fire. They used sit on stones around the wall. There was no Irish (th) taught in the school.
