   In olden times people made linen and bleached it in the fields. There is a tradition that priests made linen and bleached it in the fields. There are three houses in Tour. Ryans MacNamara's and O'Briens. The houses are slated. There are two people over seventy. Mr. Tim Ryan and Mrs Bridget Kennedy. The land is good. There is a river running down near Tour. The families total about fifteen people.

   Townland - Blane Parish - Newport Barony - Owney and Ara The word "Blane" means a narrow tongue of land. There are three houses in Blane. Kennedys, Frawleys and Russells. Two of the houses are slated and one is thatched. There is one woman over seventy years. Her name if Mrs. W. Kennedy. The land is boggy. The families total about seven people.
