    Parish - Kilcommon.
    Barony - Owney and Ara.
    There was a town there long ago and it got its name from it. It contains fourteen houses and fifty six people live there. All the houses are slated. Two people over seventy years live there, namely - Mrs Dwyer, Bealaclave, Rearcross, Newport, Co. Tipp. Mrs Russell, Bealaclave, Rearcross, Newport, Co. Tipp. There are ruins of houses to be seen yet. The land is boggy and wet.
