  1. Near Haefy Lodge is a hill which is covered with furze. In the middle of the furze is a rolling stone about two tons weight.
Long ago when the soldier's lived in Lisnacullia Castle and in the surrounding castles a grant was returning to Lisnacullia Castle from some distant quarry. He was brining back three huge rocks and among them was this huge rolling stone.
On passing by the hill, he heard the bugle of the castle sounding which was a warning to all that the enemy was approaching.
The enemy was coming up the Shannon at Foynes. When he heard the bugle, he threw the three rocks which he had far away and the rolling stone and another landed on the hill, where it can be seen to the present day.
