Bread was also made by mixing a very fine Indian meal with the flour, and this method is still used in some parts of the country. The old people also used to mix oatenmeal with the flour, and in olden times oats was grown more extensively in our country, and each farmer could get a quantity of oatenmeal made in the local mills.
