    There were a lot of cures locally for diseases.
    The local cure for a toothache is to put a spoon of milk into your mouth, and then turn your back to the fire and remain there until the milk should boil in your mouth.
    The cure for thrush was as follows to allow a gander blow into your mouth fasting and leave his breathe back in your system.
    The cure for sure eyes was to rub cold tea to them
