  1. The Green Bottle.
    A very long time ago a poor man lived near Kilbrathren Church yard. The only way he got food was by asking the neighbours for some. One day he was sitting by his fireside saying what will to-morrow bring.
    He was not very long there when an old woman came up to his door and asked him for some food.
    Well mam he said I am starved myself with the hunger. I have one brown half penny which I have for years.
    Well said the woman if you will give me
