  1. Toothache
    Put a frog between your teeth. Salt or Whiskey or pepper if taken will often stop a toothache.
    Whooping cough
    The food left behind by a ferret is supposed to stop the whoop. An other cure for it is to put the child who is suffering for whooping cough between the donkey's legs nine times kissing the cross on the donkey's back each time. An other cure for it is to bring a gander into the house and let the gander screech, the whooping cough is then supposed to go.
    Corns
    Soak a piece of loaf bread in vinegar for twenty four hours and put it on the corn. or soak an ivy leaf in vinegar and apply to the corn.
    Yellow Jaundice
    Wash well a good handful of watercress and pick off leaves and eat.
