    Come all ye jolly sailors bold

    Which caused me great dismay
    From the shore I was espied,
    and many was the tear,
    That flowed away from my sad eyes
    For Irish hearts to wear.

    About eight oclock next morning
    A small boat I espied
    She was making fast towards me
    Against a running tide
    She was manned by five brave Irish lads
    who timely did succeed
    The rescued me from danger but
    How daring was the deed.

    Their names for to make mention.
    To them great thanks was due.
    There was Tom and Andy Beasly
    There was Lynch and Grady too
    There was Stardine of the Coast Guards.
    They never dreaded strife.
    And boldly they succeeded to
    save my precious life.

    Sweet Schull's town
    where I was safely moored
