  1. A ring around the moon is a sign of rain.
    Legs from the sun when it is going down is a sign of gale.
    The smaller the ring is around the moon the nearer the rain.
    The larger the ring the farther away the rain.
    When the Sun goes down red it is a sign of fine weather.
    If the sun moon and star are seen in sky together it is a sign of a period of bad weather.
    When there is a star before the moon it indicates (rough weather) a small ship towing big vessel ashore.
    When there is a haze on the sinking sun and rising moon it is a sign of fog and mist.
    When the stars are twinkling it is a sign of frost.
    When the hills look near it is a sign of rain
