  1. Long ago they made bread from meal wheat and potatoes. They used bake the bread on a griddle. They used grind the grain of wheat at home with a thing called a quiran.
    A quiran was a big stone with a hole in the middle of it. It came from Bantry or Cork to the people. There was a handle in the quiran one hand was to throw in the grain and the other hand to twist the handle around. They made special kinds of bread also, they used plain
