  2. One night a man was coming home from work and when he came into the bán he saw bansidhes at the door. They would not let him in, and the cock began to crow. People had the hens in their kitchens in a coop that time and the cock on a pole of wood over the door. When the cock began to crow, the bansidhes let the man in. His supper was ready except to take the potatoes out of the pot. When the man put his into the pot to take out the potatoes, a bansidhe's hand threw it out.
