at full pelt with an ivy leaf in it's mouth. my father stood as still as a statue and what does the weasel do when he comes up to him but leaves the ivy leaf on the top of his shoe and looks up at him then made off
My father knew at once that the weasel meant him to use the ivy leaf on the bite so he takes down his sock again puts the ivy leaf on the wound and kept it there with a piece of the linings of his waistcoat. To make a long story short the bite was better in a few days never festered nor nothing.
My father always said that when the weasel saw the rat being killed he did his best to make up for the bite he gev him and fetched the ivy leaf the only thing which will properly cure a weasel's bite All this goes to show what I told you before that there is no going beyond the cuteness of a weasel
